Mrs. Elizabeth Kruep, 79
Services for 79-year-old Mrs. Elizabeth Kruep of Breese were conducted at 12:00 noon Monday, Dec. 10, in St. Dominic's Catholic Church of Breese by Monsignor John Fellner. Burial was in the church cemetery.
A native and life-long resident of Breese, Mrs. Kruep died Friday, Dec. 7th, in St. Joseph's/Clinton County Hospital there.
She was a member of St. Dominic's Church and Altar Sodality and of the Clinton County Farm Bureau.
Mrs. Kruep was born Jan. 5, 1900, in Breese the daughter of Henry and Caroline Elling Richter. She was married in St. Dominic's Church Oct. 15, 1921, to Henry Kruep, who died in 1972.
She is survived by four sons, Alvin and Paul, both of Breese, Robert of Salem and Joseph of Carlyle; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Hilmes of St. Louis and Mrs. Martha Richter and Mrs. Agnes Glaub, both of Breese; 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: three brothers, Henry Richter of Aviston and Theodore and George Richter, both of Breese: and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Altepeter of Breese and Mrs. Helen Huelsmann of St. Louis.
St. Dominic's Altar Sodality members recited the Rosary for Mrs. Kruep Sunday evening at the church. Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
