Kenneth L. Kious

Kenneth L. Kious, 72, of Keyesport, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his daughters home, south of Mulberry Grove.
He was born February 4, 1936, in Bond County, the son of Loren and Ruth (Dwyer) Kious. He married Naomi Maxine Massey on September 11, 1955, and they later divorced.
He is survived by his children, Marietta (Vance D.) Harrelson of Helena, Ala., Patrick Kious of Pocahontas, Andy Kious of King George, Va., Angela (Keith) Belcher of Vandalia, Harry Carl "Butch" Kious of California, Md., Nancy King of Omaha, Neb., Linda (Kent) Goodin of Mullbery Grove; brothers and sisters, Jerry Lee Kious of Mullberry Grove, Robert Neal Kious, Sandra Sue Zera of Columbia, Betty Ann Walker of Vandalia, Harry Carl "Butch" Kious of Marion and Patrick Dewitt Kious of Gaineville; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ward Lester Kious, Cecil Paul Kious, David Gene Kious and Loren Jasper Kious Jr.; and one great-grandson.
He grew up in the Smithboro area and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He has resided in Keyesport for the last year and lived in Greenville before that. He was a member of the Keyesport American Legion Post --1994.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove with Rev. Tommy Chapman officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 15, from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the Young Funeral Home in Mullberry Grove, which is handling the arrangements.
