Wilma Conrad, 78
Mrs. Wilma V. Conrad, 78, of Carlyle, died at her home on Saturday, June 5th, 1999. A daughter of William and Mamie Wood Hester, she was born in Sandoval on July 11th,1920. On Oct. 1st, 1950, in Shattuc, she married Milfred Conrad, and he survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Thouvenin of Huey; three sons, Cahrles [sic] and David Conrad of Shattuc and Norman Conrad of Carlyle; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and one sister, Oma Pigg of Carlyle. She was preceded in death by a brother, Orville Hester; one sister, Goldie Hester and two grandsons, Brett Thouvenin and Cody Conrad.
Mrs. Conrad had resided in rural Shattuc for 72 years and for the past seven years in Carlyle. She retired from the First Natioanl [sic] Bank in Sandoval.
A life-time member of the Shattuc United Methodist Church, she had been a Sunday School secretary and member of the United Methodist Women. She also belonged to Clinton County Home Extension and Shattuc Senior Citizens.
Rev. Harold Quick officiated at services held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8th, at the Shattuc United Methodist Church. Burial was in Carlyle cemetery. Visitation was at the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval.
