Kent and Christine Etter
Kent J. and Christine M. Etter of Palatine, died Thursday, Aug. 12th, 1999, near Lincoln, from injuries received in an automobile accident. They were 30 years old. Kent was born in Centralia on Dec. 10th, 1968, a son of Jim and Judy Bright Etter. On April 30th, 1994, in Glen Ellyn, he married Christine Meyer. Survivors include a daughter, Riley Etter of Palatine; his father and step-mother, Jim and Shirley Etter of Carlyle; grandmother, Mrs. Vivian Bright of Boulder; one sister, Mrs. DeAnn Imming of St. Charles, Mo., and two brothers, Craig Etter of Albers and Brad Etter of Mt. Vernon.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Etter. Mr. Etter graduated from Mater Dei High School in Breese and Blackburn College. He was employed by Abbott Laboratory in Chicago.
Christine was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on June 17th, 1969, a daughter of Edward and Judy Gaul Meyer. She married Kent Etter in Glen Ellyn on April 30th, 1994. Survivors include daughter Riley Etter of Palatine; parents, Edward Meyer of Morrison and Judy Meyer of Glen Ellyn; one brother, Durke Meyer of Denver, Colo., and step-grandmother, Ghlee Meyer of Morrison. Mrs. Etter was a pharmaceutical sales representative for H. D. Smith Pharmaceuticals in Chicago.
A Mass of Resurrection for the couple was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17th, at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle. Rev. George Mauck officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was at the Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.
