Mrs. John KUES dies Suddenly; Rites Wednesday-
Mrs. Margaret Kues, wife of John Kues, a retired farmer, died suddenly at her home in Aviston Saturday morning, May 25. She was 69 years of age.
She was born in Aviston on January 9 1888, a daughter of the late Theodore and Barbara ZURLIENE nee STOCK. She married John Kues in Aviston on April 12 1910.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Genevieve MARKUS of Aviston, Oscar Kues of Houston, Texas, Catherine BUSSEN of St. Louis, Richard of Albers, Frances SCHALLER of St. Louis, Theodore Kues of Aviston and Teresa Kues of St. Louis.
Also surviving are 33 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anton STRIEKER of Aviston.
The following sisters and brothers preceded her in death: Joseph, John, George and Frank Zurliene, Mrs. Henry DALL, Mrs. Henry HOLELNKAMP [HOLLENKAMP] and Mrs. Ben RICHTER.
Funeral services were conducted by Rt. Rev. Msgr. George LOHMAN in St. Francis Church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Kues was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality and of the MONDT-LAMPE Post 1239 American Legion Auxiliary.
