Irene Kasten, 87
Irene Kasten, 87, of Centralia died Monday, Nov. 1st, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
She was born Feb. 18th, 1917, in Ferrin, the daughter of W.H. Bill and Bertha Eickhoff Holle, and the preceded her in death. She married Oscar Kasten Nov. 10th, 1945, in Centralia, and he survives in Centralia.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Kasten of Centralia and David Kasten of Chicago; a daughter, Sharon Conners of Centralia; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Knolhoff.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Kasten; a brother, W.N. Holle; and two sisters, Edna Kasten and Erna Hassebrock.
She and her husband owned and operated Dairy Queen for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Lutheran Women Missionary League.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 6th at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, with Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating.
Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation was at Styninger-Pacey Funeral Home.
