Bernard Wolters, 71
Breese resident Bernard H. Wolters died at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville on Friday, Oct. 12th, 2001. He was 71 years old.
Born in Aviston township on Oct. 8th, 1930, he was a son of Bernard and Anna Rakers Wolters. On May 1st, 1956, in St. Rose, he married Helen Schrage, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Dan and Duane Wolters, both of Breese; one granddaughter; three brothers, Otto Wolters of Aviston, Ray Wolters of Trenton and Wilbert Wolters of Breese and four sisters, Henrietta Beckmann of Aviston, Sally Barth of St. Rose, Mrs. Edna Rosen of Trenton and Mrs. Mary Ann Becker of Germantown.
Mr. Wolters was a Korean War Veteran and member of Breese American Legion. He was a retired truck driver for Kohnen Concrete Products in Germantown.
He was a member of St. Dominic's Church in Breese where services were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday). Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiated with burial in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery in Breese.
Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
