The funeral of Aviston resident Victor "Vic" H. Woltering will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 4th, at St. Francis Church in Aviston, Rev. Robert Gore will officiate with burial in St. Dominicís cemetery in Breese.
Mr. Woltering died Monday, July 1st, from injuries received in a transport trailer accident on I-64 in St. Clair County. He was 58 years old.
A son of Herman and Josephine Richter Woltering, he was born in Breese Oct. 2nd, 1932. On April 21, 1954, he married Mary Hilmes in Breese and she survives.
In addition to his widow, survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Linda Koch, Mrs. Karen Aughenbaugh and Mrs. Sandy Johnson, all of Breese and Mrs. Brenda Wellen of Albers; two sons, Kevin and Eric Woltering, both of Breese; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Woltering of Boston, Mass.; and one sister, Mrs. Betty Lindsey of O'Fallon, Mo.
Mr. Woltering was employed by Loepker Farms in Bartelso. He was a member of the Breese American Legion.
Visitation will be at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese after 3:00 p.m. today (Wednesday).
